Privacy Policy

This page says what we collect, what we do with it, and what we never do with it. It is short because the honest answer is short.

What we collect

Your work email and sign-in activity, the documents you choose to upload, the questions asked of your graphs, and the usage numbers your invoice is based on. That is the list.

What we do with it

We use it to run the service: storing and indexing your documents, answering your questions, showing you your own activity, and billing. Your documents are processed by Google Cloud on our behalf, for storage and for turning text into the numerical form the search engine uses. They stay inside our Google Cloud project, encrypted in transit and at rest.

What we never do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not train AI models on your documents; there is no model in the engine to train. Nobody outside the people who run SearchCandy Labs and our cloud provider touches your content, and access on our side is limited to operating the service.

Cookies

One necessary cookie keeps you signed in to the console. The website may also ask, with a banner, whether we can use Google Analytics to count visits; that cookie is set only if you accept, and declining changes nothing about how the site works. No advertising trackers either way.

How long we keep things

Your documents and their version history stay until you delete the graph that holds them; that is what makes the product's history feature work. Deleting a graph removes its documents from our systems, and backup copies expire within fourteen days. Account records go when the account goes.

Your choices

Ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask for deletion, any time, by emailing hello@searchcandy-labs.com. A person answers, usually the same day.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email the address on your account before the change takes effect.
